Limbo Concerts – Limbo Conference 2022 is about lifting persecuted music beyond oblivion with the hands of freelanced musicians of nowadays. The freelancer’s creativity and their courage to work with meaningful and sometimes difficult topics makes a huge difference in this world, which in every sense is on the edge of transformation. It makes music relevant for you and me, here and now.
The Limbo Concerts and Limbo Conferences are hosted by the Limbo Collective founded in 2016. The Limbo Collective has received funding from the Polish and German Ministry of Culture and GVLNeustart.
Project Timeline
LIMBO CONCERTS/LIMBO CONFERENCE 2022 is the first stage of a long term Limbo Project whose aim is to secure freelanced musicians existence and create a stable concert platform for persecuted music.
Concerts and Conference will take place between July and December 2022. In this time the Limbo Collective plans to organize two concerts in Norway and Poland and online conference. In this webinar we initiate a European discussion on the topics decided in the Limbo round table discussion taking place in August 2022.

Our conference is only a voice in an important debate about the situation of freelancers in Poland, Norway or Finland, their working conditions and possibilities to improve them as much as possible.
Another topic of discussion will be the work of persecuted composers and how significant these works are today.
